JULIE & MATERNITY :
"A few years ago I didn’t want children, so breastfeed even less. But, one day, the desire to become a mother became stronger than anything. The birth of my son was my revival. He absolutely changed everything in me. I discovered a real passion for breastfeeding as well as for maternity. "
The birth of little Leo (16 months) made the happiness of his parents. They chose this name that they love for its Latin meaning: lion. This name symbolizes strength and courage.
JULIE & BREASTFEEDING :
"Breastfeeding? The greatest experience of my life! "
"I breastfeed for 16 months and plan to go to natural weaning (between 2 and 7 years old). I was fortunate to have a breastfeeding start without problem. I searched a lot of information during my pregnancy through websites, books, preparation classes at the maternity ward, free meetings ... And thankfully, the lack of training of the nursing staff in the maternity ward where I gave birth. I have nevertheless encountered some engorgements treated with a maximum of feedings and alternating hot and cold. "
NO SHORTENED BREASTFEEDING :
"At the very beginning I planned one month, then six, then pass the return-to-work. And here we go for a not shortened breastfeeding. I just followed my instinct and especially my baby. The benefits are plentiful, both for mom and baby, it would be difficult to list all of them. But for baby’s health and psychomotor development degree. And for mom, we could talk about the significant decrease in risk of breast cancer. Not to mention the practical side, it is both free and ecological. "
YOUR ADVICE FOR A MOM-TO-BE WHO WANTS TO BREASTFEED :
« I would advise her to trust herself and her baby. A very important thing it’s to surround yourself with good people, trained in breastfeeding. But also, with breastfeeding moms who will be a real support and can help you through their experience. It can be a friend who breastfed, a sister or a colleague… »
HAVE YOU HAD ANY MILK LOSS?
"Yes, especially the first 6 months, I had to sleep with a bra and absorbent pads. But it still happens during the day even after 16 months. "
"I tested the disposable and washable nursing pads, at beginning I preferred the disposables for their very absorbent side. But now I prefer washables because I have less leaks and for the ecological side of them that is important to me. "
CURVE ACCORDING TO JULIE :
« Curve is, in my opinion, an innovative brand that combines the advantage of washable pads with the financial and ecological side. »
